Amelia Raines - Percussion

Amelia is a senior at Chelsea High School, where she is a percussionist in the band and orchestra.  She has also been playing with the jazz band since middle school, is section leader of the Chelsea High School Drumline, and has performed with the Chelsea House Orchestra and Michigan Youth Band and Orchestra.

Amelia has studied percussion with Jim Lancioni for six years and has taught beginning percussion students for two years.  She loves history and learning foreign languages.  She will attend the University of Michigan in the fall of 2009 to study anthropology and linguistics.
