Graham Emberton - Violin
Graham Emberton is a violinist and teacher dedicated to compassionate talent development. Graham runs Ann Arbor Suzuki Violin, a private studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he enjoys working with students of all ages and experiences. Previous teaching engagements include faculty positions with the Aber Suzuki Center at UW Stevens Point, the American Suzuki Institute, Interlochen Arts Camp, Detroit Youth Volume, and DePaul Community Music Division.
In addition to his love for teaching, Graham is also an active performing musician. Graham has served as concertmaster of the Central Wisconsin Symphony, and also performed with the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Utah Festival Opera, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and the Britten-Pears Orchestra. Graham enjoys performing locally with the Chelsea Chamber Players. Graham holds degrees in violin performance from Butler University, DePaul University, and the University of Memphis. His violin teachers include Janet Sung, Timothy Shiu, Larry Shapiro, and Paula Elliott.
