MaryLou Roberts - Guitar

MaryLou Roberts is a classical guitarist from Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Her work involves teaching children using the Suzuki method of Talent Education, teaching at home as part of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute, and as a teacher trainer for the Suzuki Association of the Americas and the European Suzuki Association.

She travels regularly to provide training in such places as Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, and is beginning a new course in Belgium, as well as Ann Arbor and Chicago.  Her students have recently been selected to perform for the International Ensembles Concert at the SAA Conference in Minneapolis.  She has served on the board of directors, and is currently on the Teacher Development Advisory Committee of the SAA.

MaryLou holds a Bachelor of Music in guitar performance from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and a Masters degree in guitar performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she was Valedictorian and elected to the Society of Pi Kappa Lambda in 1986.  She is currently coordinator of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute, which will celebrate 50 years of teaching using the Suzuki Method in Ann Arbor in 2019.
